HomeCourt can’t detect my shots
A
A HomeCourt User
HomeCourt is great for tracking my shots at the hoop, but sometimes it would detect my shots wrong – either location is wrong, or a make becomes a miss. Can I make HomeCourt detect my shots better?
Colin
To ensure that HomeCourt is tracking your shots accurately, please make sure you keep these things in mind while recording:
- well lit environment
- on an even flat court (there may be errors if your court is on a noticeable slant)
- do not touch/move the device once you have started recording – doing so may mess up the court calibration
- make sure the 3-point line (if applicable), shooter, ball, basket, and shooter’s feet are in view at all times if possible
If you do find your workouts inaccurate, you can edit the workout to change the make/miss and shot location by going to Profile > Activities > View Details > Settings > Edit Session. These changes will be reflected in your profile.
If you need more help with your workouts, please contact us by following the directions here.

When i first got the app it tracked 100% and I told everyone about it. Now it tracks every 4th shot and it is disappointing.

Shots don’t count in drills
Zachary Mark
In drills where you have to shoot from particular spots, it’s very hard to shoot from the desired locations since you can’t see the spots. For instance see my side-mid-side where I got 3

My makes aren’t being detected, and when they do detect them, they don’t count for the badges.

Eitan Sawicki: Please refer to my reply at the bottom of this post for some tips to set up HomeCourt for the ideal recording environment. Hope these are helpful in making HomeCourt detect your shots better going forward.

That’s exactly what’s happening to me.

Better driveway court calibration
Erez Boraks
No matter what, when I use homecourt on my driveway for shooting, it says my device is too low to the ground, and continues to then get all of the shot locations completely wrong. I do everything it says in the instructions, to no avail. I spray-painted lines onto the driveway, and they are correct to high school standards, and that had no effect. It would be great is someone would put some thought to this.

Shot tracker only recorded 10% of my makes

During our morning workout only a few of the shots were recorded. I stopped and started several times but that didn’t fix the issue. Please advise.

Detecting some shots then nothing,
Souhail Khoury
We shoot usually 500+ shots. And homecourt is detecting a fraction. On my first workout it recorded 68 the 5 then 18 can you look at my previous workouts or games and tell me the issue. Tracking shots is a big oart of why i subscribe. I use iphone 11 pro thanks
