Now the wide-angle camera is set as default option for supported devices. Enjoy!

Hi all, wanna mention again we've added a toggle under Settings -> Advanced to pilot this feature. All of you who have a device with ultra-wide camera will see the setting, please enable it and give it a try!

Philip Lam: I have been using it since you sent your original note. Works great for the most part. I have noticed that if the camera is close to basket than half court, the app warns me that I might be too close. But still seems to work well. I did notice that it counts more misses as makes. Not sure if it is a proximity issue or the fact I am using it with a Dr. Dish (netting in the way). Also, unlike with the non-wide angle view, if the camera is too far to the side, the 3 point line is elongated on the side closest to the camera.
Philip Lam
Robert Kron: Thanks for the feedback~ The makes/misses issue is deal to the use with Dr. Dish, we will investigate the other issues you mentioned.

Philip Lam: great! We are hoping to open our facility in July and should have plenty of additional feedback as usage grows. :)

Philip Lam: I have also noticed that it tells me too close even though the court is in the screen on wide angle. The entire purpose for wide angle is to be used in close quarters.
Philip Lam
Dan Farah: We've fixed this in the latest version, could you please check if it works for you now?

Philip Lam: I agree with the make misses, it seems the wider or further way creates more inaccurate stats. We use Dr. dish and the gun, and sometimes the ball bounces off the net and back to rim and it counts as make, or an airball to the side of the rim gets counted as a make...BUT overall the accuracy is very good.

Sweet! Can’t wait to try it
Philip Lam
Epp Gee:keep us posted on whether it works for you!

Philip Lam: Wide angle is working very well for me! Seems to be just as accurate as regular lens.
Would still love the ability to use portrait mode - for all those who have phones that don't have the super wide angle lens.

Think about if HomeCourt allows the users to adjust the safety zone to play the agility drills. In particular the small living area in some regions, this amendment may give feasibility for users to apply the apps anywhere, even the day after virus tough time.

Would it be possible for the app to use the wide angle camera on iPhone 11? A few courts we use don’t have enough space to capture the 3 point line with enough space to track shots. The wide angle lens when I use regular camera captures more of the court.
Thank you

Let us use Portrait mode - this would be very helpful for more confined spaces

Allow your app to use the new iPhones Wide angle lenses to capture courts in smaller spaces.

Another option I would like to see is being able to mount my phone or iPad behind or above a glass backboard. It is hard sometimes to find an entire half court that I can use.
Wide Angle functionality would also be welcome.
Also being able to use both the front and the rear-facing camera's would allow for use in spaces where the iPhone or iPad is on a Tripod but up against the back wall.

Robert Kron: we are going to save this request for the ultra-wide angle camera support. Would you mind creating a new request for use cases involving mounting the phone on a wall and using the front-facing camera ?
